Abbaye de l'Epau
Abbaye de l’Epau is located in the outskirts of Le Mans, France. Much of it is well preserved, and very beautiful. The abbey was founded in 1229 by Berengaria, the Queen Consort of King Richard the Lionheart. Her toomb appears in one of the photographs. Unfortunately, Berengaria did not get to spend much time with Richard as he was already involved in the third crusade, in which he died, when they married. The photos were captured in April 2008, using a 12 MP Nikon D300 and 12-24 mm lens and reprocessed recently using current software. All rights reserved.
